Sparrow Eaton Hospital

Sparrow Eaton Hospital, an accredited 25-licensed-bed facility, provides access to care. Every year, this includes:

• more than 13,000 Emergency Department visits
• more than 2,860 surgeries
• more than 7,000 infusion treatments

Still, the vast majority of patients in this area must travel to Sparrow Lansing for their infusions, and Sparrow Eaton Hospital remains our only system entity without Sparrow Medical Group (SMG) oncology services. To address these needs, we are adding a new infusion clinic to Sparrow Eaton Hospital along with general improvements that will more effectively accommodate the unique needs of this region.

Features

Infusion Center

Five days a week, a reestablished infusion center will offer:

• SMG oncology
• chemotherapy
• general, non-oncology infusions

This will add eight infusion chairs and four oncology clinic rooms, greatly expanding our capacity to serve all types of patients with no need to leave the community for these treatments.

Cancer Clinic

A new Cancer Clinic will bring cancer care close to home for those in and around Eaton County, providing direct access to the same board-certified oncologists that care for patients at the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center.

Innovative Radiation Technologies

On-site radiation oncologists will connect Sparrow Eaton Hospital to the most sophisticated radiation machines available including the View Ray machine, with a built-in MRI to safely treat tumors in hard-to-reach locations.

Facility Renovations

Construction modifications and building updates will create space for the new infusion center and will generally improve existing facilities at Sparrow Eaton Hospital.
